Markgräflerland – sunny moderate climate, fascinating nature and diners paradise
A local poet Johann
Peter Hebel called it the “sunny garden of paradise”. In a favourable climate
and with rich soils, all kinds of fruit grow abundantly. And as always, rich
nature makes people happy and lets cultural life flow. Soft hills with
colourful vineyards and oak trees, sunny valleys, black forest conifer covered
mountains in the background wherever you look. Early spring, mid April, a sea
of blossom on cherry trees will appear in the warmest region of Germany. That’s why the region is called the “Toscana” of Germany.

Whatever your interests are, if you are a physically active person, nature
lover, hiker or more into culture or just want to relax and recover – the
scenic Markgräflerland in the triangle of France Switzerland and Germany has it all. Those who love the good
sides of life especially a glass of wine will feel great in this traditional wine
growing area.
